Periodic examination of the SelectiveRIDER® Pallet, Fluxometer™ Test Mesh, Dynamic X/Y Sensor and pallet contacts (P.O. and Height sensor) should be free of any solder splash or balling and other contamination.
Pallet:
The M.O.L.E. Profiler must be removed before the SelectiveRIDER® is cleaned because it may be damaged or destroyed by water or solvents. |
1) | Turn the locking latch and the raise barrier box cover until it comes to a rest. Pull the extractor handle to remove the M.O.L.E. Profiler. |
2) | Clean the external surfaces with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) using a soft cloth. |
3) | Using a fine plastic brush (like a tooth brush) or fine point non-metallic pick, clean any dust, dirt, or solder from the PO (Process Origin), Height sensor contacts and Dynamic X/Y Sensor contacts which are all located on the bottom of the SelectiveRIDER® pallet. When cleaning the sensors, use enough force to get them cleared and free from debris but not too much that they may bend or damage sensor wires. |
Fluxometer™ Test Mesh:
Both the UP & V-Gauge test mesh can get sticky with flux buildup and should be cleaned regularly.
Test Mesh Removal and cleaning:
1) | Loosen the guides by partly unscrewing the four screws. |
2) | Remove the Test Mesh and clean per recommended methods by the flux manufacture. |
It is also recommended to clean the accumulation of flux and debris that may have built up in the support groove. |
3) | Slide the Tesh Mesh into the support grove. |
4) | Secure in place by tightening the screws in the support guides. |
